PalletSearch X-ray Inspection System; AS&E's PalletSearch is a conveyor-based system designed to perform non-intrusive X-ray inspection of mixed cargo on large pallets or in air cargo containers.
PalletSearch
  • Comprehensive results, with simultaneous Z® Backscatter and Transmission X-ray imaging, plus multiple image enhancement tools
  • Conveyor-based system accommodating 4,000 pounds (1,800 kg), with the ability to image a four-foot tall pallet in a single pass
  • Proprietary Z Backscatter technology to highlight organic threats and contraband that other systems miss - explosives, plastic weapons and drugs

PalletSearch Cargo Inspection System (Fixed-Site System)

The U.S. Department of Defense knows the AS&E Advantage. In October 2003, the U.S. Air Force selected AS&E's PalletSearch to inspect palletized cargo for threats to security at military bases in Europe.

AS&E's PalletSearch is a conveyor-based system designed to perform non-intrusive X-ray inspection of mixed cargo on large pallets or in air cargo containers.

PalletSearch is modular, has a small footprint, can be customized to fit a variety of environments, and scans items safely and non-invasively. A typical unit has a powerful, six-foot wide (1.8 m) conveyor capable of handling up to 4,000 pounds (1,800 kg), and can image a four-foot tall pallet in a single pass without any corner cutoff. This unique capacity helps operators combat trade fraud, drug trafficking, and weapons smuggling.

PalletSearch uses proprietary Z Backscatter technology in combination with traditional transmission imaging to deliver unmatched detection capabilities. Transmission X-ray images offer high resolution and penetration for the detection of high-density materials, while Z Backscatter images provide important material discrimination information, allowing for rapid detection of organic materials.
